February 4, 200422 yr are gen 1 cvjs the same length as a gen 2 cvj? if not what is the differance between them? also another question are cvjs stronger then dojs?
February 4, 200422 yr No - they are different. Gen 1's are shorter. It's not appropriate to ask which is stronger - they are used for different purposes. DOJ's don't have as many degrees of freedom, thus can't be used where CV's can. GD
February 4, 200422 yr By definition they are two different ideas. DOJ= Dual offset joint They are used primarily as inner joints on the Subaru. They will slide in and out as well as rotate. CVJ= Constant Velocity Joint These are a fixed(doesn't move laterally) joint that will only rotate.
