December 5, 200916 yr Hello all, I'm a new old USMB member. I need to replace the tires on my '06 Forester and am asking for advice on the best tires to get. I don't drive off-road, or anything extreme...I just need good long-lasting tires. Thanks in advance, Tim
December 6, 200916 yr Go to tirerack.com and read through some reviews of tires that fit your needs. That's the best way to get good advice.

I have been really impressed by Discount Tire with the quality of their work, and free tire repairs, and tire rotations.
December 6, 200916 yr I got a set of Goodrich TAs from Sams Club. A little grabbier, which I like in a lighter vehicle. Very reasonable also. After 2 years, I'm still very happy with them. Good traction in snow and rain, and comfortable ride in good weather.

Good traction in snow and rain, and comfortable ride in good weather. I just put Traction T/As on my OBW, got mine from Tirerack.com. I don't have a bunch of miles on them but they're rated at 60k. The wife's OBW has Goodyear Assurance Triple treads, 80K tire. Incredible tread technology but a LOT more money.
December 27, 200916 yr Toyos or BFG TAs Bang for the buck get some Toyos from Les Swab, good tire, good price and they stand behind their tires (road side, good warranty service, free tire rotation). Too bad they dont have that free beef with a tire purchase anymore.
