February 5, 201016 yr I had to look a bit to find the sealed front wheel bearings labeled clearly as being 'C3', VXB has some from China without being clear as to whether they are 'C3' or not. They might be fine... but, I only want to change these once. I mention VXB because they Google up very quickly However, this equipment company had them and I ordered mine from them. February 5, 201016 yr C3's are the common spec. It's the tollerances between the the balls and the race. C1's are very tight - used for machining equipment and high precision stuff. C3's are much looser and if they aren't labeled they probably are C3's. But I wouldn't want any chinese bearings anyway. Even Taiwan is better. Japanese bearings are good. Germany and Poland make nice bearings as does the US if you can find them. 6000 series radial thrust bearings are common as dirt. There are 10's of thousands of applications just for the 6207 I'm sure. Automotive isn't one of the common one's. You can't find a local bearing house? Everyone should stock them - McGuire is who I go through in Portland. Every major and most minor cities have a bearing warehouse of some kind. GD Edited February 5, 201016 yr by GeneralDisorder
February 5, 201016 yr Author oh jeez, no, my town is all of 288 people, Spokane, WA probably has something 90 minutes north good ag shop in Moscow, ID, that could have ordered them for me, maybe nothing I'm aware of in Pullman, WA the irony here is that it's easier to buy things from my living room than to find them locally, since it took a little digging to find them I had thought they were harder to find - the skewed view from here, you know, gave me a false impression well, anyway, it'll show up in search now and if someone wants them they can link to 'em
February 5, 201016 yr Yeah - it's easier to find them if you call places. Things that are super common like that don't even get sold online most of the time. It's like looking for a specific bolt - few people go looking for that online. GD
February 5, 201016 yr McMaster carr has them but I don't know the source. I think they were $11 to $14 and they ship out the same day. If you don't specify shipping, sometimes they just fly them.
February 6, 201016 yr Author Oh I found them cheaper... but decided to stay with a 'known' and well marked. Only time they'll ever be changed.
