February 12, 201016 yr Here I am again! This time I am experiencing a steering wheel vibration when I get to 40mph. Nothing underneath seems loose, so I am wondering if maybe a bad front strut may be causing this. If this is addressed on another thread let me know. BTW 98 Forester ej25d & 4eat.
February 12, 201016 yr Wheel balance. Ball joint. Wheel Bearing. Tie Rod End. Inner Tie Rod End. Snow buildup on a wheel. Warped Rotor. Long shots Drive shaft issues. Is it always over 40 mph? Do you feel it in the brake pedal? Is it worse with breaking? Can you feel it in the drivers seat?
February 12, 201016 yr Goin with the wheel out of balance on this one. Make sure you don't have any heavy dirt or snow/ice buildup on the wheels. Check for "clean spots" on the rims where one of them might have flung a balance weight.
February 12, 201016 yr yeah what they said sometimes snow will turn into ice on the backside of the wheel and it will get worst the faster you go, just pull over and knock it out.. If you have no snow then it's one of the other things listed.
