I bought my first Subaru, 87 GL with the EA82, 117000 miles. So I 'm look at the engine and found this thing between the air intake and some AC componet. It has some duct tape on the bottom, remove the tape and it will not idel, just dies. So I think I need a new one? The part has two vaccum lines, one like 5/8 inch and one like 1/4 inch that looks like it gose to the intake.

amen to that, i get rid of everything that has no ideal funtion to it. i like clean compartments
