02' Legacy 4cyl. Going for valve job, what else while there?

Featured Replies

While the heads are off, what other things that are hard to reach, would it make sense to may be preventively replace now, in order to save trouble later?

PCV? Temp sensor(s)?

So you want the entire list? you dont say how many miles.

Valve cover gaskets

Sparkplug gromits

Plugs

PCV valve

Thermostat

Timing belt

Idlers

Tensioners

Main Seal

Cam Seal

Accessory drive belt

Water pump

Oil Change

Ignition Wires

Without knowing prior maintenance then +1 to all that nipper said.

And i'll add reseal the oil pump and tighten the rear backing plate screws with thread locker.

It has 135K miles.

The headgasket was replaced less than 1 year, about 10K miles ago... together with all belts, not sure about seals. I am not doing it myself, it's at the shop now.
