I have a 1987 GL with a 1.8L FI ea82 and I was wondering if it is possible to adjust the idle...Cause when I come to a stop light it idles real rough and then dies after a minute or 2....I just put new timing belts on it had the timing set got a new fuel pump and relay too... Any ideas??? Any help would be much appreciated....

Check for vacuum leaks, these little engines are very vacuum dependent.

A quick check over the engine bay while its running will tell you if you have a leak, it'll be given away by a tell tale whistle or hiss.

 

Also perform a full tune up, plugs, wires, and air filter.

That may be causing your problem.
