Fuse tap question

Featured Replies

Im looking to switch my abs/ cruise control fuse on my car because one, I dont like abs, two my abs sensor is broken so i can't use it, and three I drive long distances and like my cruise control. I have tried fuse taps the slip over the blade of the fuse and I cant get them to fit into the slot on the fuse box. I even went as far as to pull the fuse box out of the car to try to make them fix. I had this successfully wired by forcing two wires into the fuse slot but since the fuse box is right next to my clutch petal they kept getting pulled out. Do they make a false fuse that has two taps on the top?

Any ideas

thanks

Maybe easier to rewire cruise control hot wire to another power source. Look around for a hot wire not in use for a car option you don't have, for example like heated seats. Connect to that open lead.

If you have a broken sensor the ABS won't function to begin with.

What model and year?

From what I know, the cruise and ABS are powered off seperate fuses.

your cruise may be not working for a different reason.

You could also just leave the fuse in there, and unplug the connector from the ABS unit under the hood.......or just unbolt it's ground cable.
