XT Rear Seat Delete?

Featured Replies

Did early XT's have a rear seat delete option?

Edited by jeffx

XTs were still an optional car. They had XT DLs, XT GLs, XT GL-10s and XT6s. The DL had no options, not even a back seat for the most part:eek:

indeed! my 86 XT DL haaasssss no back seat, no passenger outside mirror, no power locks, windows, steering, no turbo, 2wd but its got A/C!

can you put up pics of a factory rear seat delete? im kind of curious to see what that would look like.

that was standard practice for 85 - 86

Here is a D.L. rear seat delete. Basically just vinyl covered board with padding on the front of the seat section. Subaru called it a "parcel compartment", or "luggage shelf" or something.

What's even worse is that without cloth on the seat bottom like a normal seat, any "parcel" you put back there just slides side to side at the mere thought of a left or right turn, making it pretty much useless .

Thanks, I knew I'd seen one of these (it was blue with black bumpers). Thanks!
