July 1, 201015 yr Last weekend some friends and I went to the mountains near Santiago, Chile, everyone thought that my Loyale was going to be the weakest one of the vehicles, but no; the one that needed the most help was the Jeep Compass My Subie did very well on the snow, when the video was shot the car was not wearing chains on her shoes Here some pics: Here I wasn't stuck, just parked waitin' for the Compass...
July 1, 201015 yr Awsome pictures. but whats with the snow on the engine trying to cool it down from waiting on the jeep for so long?
July 1, 201015 yr Author Awsome pictures. but whats with the snow on the engine trying to cool it down from waiting on the jeep for so long? Hehehe.. that was a joke from a guy, my engine overheated a little cause it had some air in the cooling system, and someone said I had to open the hood and put some snow on the radiator, I left it open and when I came back I found this guy did me that "favor"... July 1, 201015 yr I really want a set of front corner lights like those! Anyone know where to get any shipped to the states here?? Or what it may cost? +1 love to have a set on my loyale. different from evey one else in the state.
July 2, 201015 yr Author Are you talkin about the light next to the beam? The one with the orange "bubble"?... here in Chile I can get'em for about 50 USD, new, one pair. Don't know how much for the shipping...
July 2, 201015 yr Yes. Great pictures. How was the outside temp?? The roads look like alot of ice under the snow. Did ever run normal air pressure in their tires or did anyone air down? Looks like a nice trip, don't think I would want to break down out there.. burr cold..
July 2, 201015 yr It didn't look that cold, more like heavy wet snow. Maybe -5 deg. C? Warming up as the day went on? I have been on roads like that with big 4x4 trucks, climbing up logging roads to get to a good spot to go snowshoeing. We usually stop because the trucks run out of places to turn around, not because my Loyale loses traction. And I 'm breaking trail... What are you using for tires?
