My Loyale on the snow...

Recommended Posts

Last weekend some friends and I went to the mountains near Santiago, Chile, everyone thought that my Loyale was going to be the weakest one of the vehicles, but no; the one that needed the most help was the Jeep Compass

My Subie did very well on the snow, when the video was shot the car was not wearing chains on her shoes :)

Here some pics:

Awsome pictures.

but whats with the snow on the engine trying to cool it down from waiting on the jeep for so long?

Hehehe.. that was a joke from a guy, my engine overheated a little cause it had some air in the cooling system, and someone said I had to open the hood and put some snow on the radiator, I left it open and when I came back I found this guy did me that "favor"...

Yes. Great pictures. How was the outside temp?? The roads look like alot of ice under the snow. Did ever run normal air pressure in their tires or did anyone air down? Looks like a nice trip, don't think I would want to break down out there.. burr cold..

It didn't look that cold, more like heavy wet snow. Maybe -5 deg. C? Warming up as the day went on?

I have been on roads like that with big 4x4 trucks, climbing up logging roads to get to a good spot to go snowshoeing. We usually stop because the trucks run out of places to turn around, not because my Loyale loses traction. And I 'm breaking trail...

What are you using for tires?
