August 6, 201015 yr I was filling up Blu. This nice older lady carefully gets in her Subaru. I thought it was a leagcy, had the lines, next to Blu it lookes about the right size... It was an Imp! the Imp is almost as large as my 97 outback. Maybe I would need to go down a size to keep in about Blu's class.
August 6, 201015 yr Hi! Talking New new? I need watch for that. Still catching up on Subies. I walked past a pristene Imprezza yesterday and almost stopped to really look it over. Then it was gone.
August 6, 201015 yr This is the trend with all modern vehicles. They get just a bit larger each year. Before you know it the compact turns into a midsize and the maker introduces a new compact.
August 6, 201015 yr when I was buying parts for my legacy at an auto parts place this guy was sorta interested and remarked about subaru. It turned out he is a professional mechanic/tech and works on all sorts of cars and was actively seeking an Imprezza. wth does that mean? It might mean he's seen hundreds of vehicles in out upside down and like many here have that experience and like a Subaru.
August 6, 201015 yr for those who like smaller cars, like me, then there's a reason to not like the new huge ones. My former 06 Outback was a lot longer, and taller than my old 94 TW, but the 06 had half the room in it to haul my dogs., or anything else like parts. Also the 06 had less leg room in the backseat. I really like the size of my 94SS, and it seats 3 fine in the backseat, actually more room than my parent's 06 Legacy sedan. I hear the 2010 increased backseat legroom though.
August 6, 201015 yr On a similar note, I was really surprised the first time I saw the new Outback. It sure seems to me that they're longer/taller than the original Foresters. Jacob
