August 8, 201015 yr I just got my new 88 DL - and would really like to add the more informative guages from a Loyale or GL. Specifically I'd like to get a tach again. The volts guage would be nice. (better than just gas and temp i got now). Thanks for helping me sort it out! I've got a passenger mirror on it's way, and looking for the rear security curtain. Thx! rob

August 8, 201015 yr I've done it, most things line up, but some electrical plugs don't, and if you forget to hook up your vacuum lines you won't have any heater control or blend door operation. If I were to do it again I would get an aftermarket tach and call it a day. You would have to swap the entire dash, not just the cluster, those plugs are totally different. Seriously though, just get a tach and save yourself about 3 days of work and a whole mess of problems.
August 8, 201015 yr USE THIS DASH seriously tho, just use aftermarket, way simpler and usually more accurate.
August 8, 201015 yr Author Thanks guys! I'd like to go original, but definitely don't want to swap the entire dash to get it. So - what guages do you run and where do you put them? Definitely want tach, guessing oil pressure, volts, temp? Anything else? Appreciate any pics to help me figure out where and what. rob
