hey skip, ive noticed you seem to know what you are talking about on electrical stuff.

87 gl blower motor does not work. actually it blows if i direct wire it to battery so i know blower motor is good and i know 4 way switch on dash is good.

i remember you [i think] talking about 2 resistors somewhere? 1 for 1-2 speed and 1 for 3-4 speed?

im thinking this could be the problem, or anyone have any other ideas?

if your not skip you can answer also, i know there are many subaru brainiacs out there. i just seem to recall him talking about this at one time in the past. i think he even posted a pic.

This resistor block runs speeds 1 through 3

Speed 4 by passes the resistor block.

sounds like your switch has gone bad

check fuses, connections, 4 SHOULD work
