November 10, 201015 yr Hi everyone this is my Justy and im well aware it looks like a Swift before anyone says it :-\
November 10, 201015 yr welcome howells14. i have to say i havent seen a justy gx with that much done to it. looks good
November 10, 201015 yr Author i bought the car like this so i havent done anything to it yet ive taken off the wheels shown in the pictures because i really dont like them and will be removing the bucket seats as well i am looking to try and engine conversion on this car im just trying to find an engine that will fit and keep the all wheel drive at the same time
November 11, 201015 yr hey man, that thing looks a lot like a geo metro...........sorry, had to do it. awesome car RV
November 11, 201015 yr ahh so its all show no go. sadly there isnt a lot of options for swapping. people have done ej swaps but your looking at quite a bit of fab. thats the 3 cylinder right?
November 11, 201015 yr correction, that should be the 1.3. maybe you could swap the suzuki 1.6 16valve from the sidekick or geo tracker
November 11, 201015 yr the suzuki swap would probably be a lot easier. but the mazda swap sounds cooler. have people stuck rotary motors in these?
November 11, 201015 yr the suzuki swift will have i think the same motor as you. you gotta find the suzuki sidekick or geo tracker. the little suv things
November 12, 201015 yr I would not do a 13b, or any rotary for that matter. But if you do, at least do a 20b.
November 13, 201015 yr ej swaps are hard on these because it a transversley mounted engine. the ej takes up the whole engine bay. the biggest problem with these swaps is mounting the transmission. you gotta be decent with welder and fab work.
November 13, 201015 yr the suzuki 1.3 is transversely mounted. my last post felt a little confusing.another words its mounted in the engine bay like a honda with the tranny beside it enstead of behind it like the EJ
November 15, 201015 yr Author ive found a Suzuki vitara (Sidekick) would the engine just fit in nicely or would there be a bit of hacking and bashing to be done? the engines available are all 4x4 and come in 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0
November 16, 201015 yr i have no hands on experience with this swap but should be feasable. have fun searching threads:grin: you might have to venture beyond usmb. hopefuly not there are some experienced people on here.
November 16, 201015 yr hey man, that thing looks a lot like a geo metro... That's Because it is a Rebagged Suzuki Swift as Subaru Justy (a.k.a: Geo Metro) Nice Little Car, I Like it. Why do you Want to do an Engine Swap? Kind Regards.
April 9, 201114 yr Thats a really nice AWD Swift!! I would vote for a mildly boosted G13B for an engine swap. Why are you from? Matt
