November 13, 201015 yr I think I read it's a 1 inch o-ring on the ps reservoir. Can I get that at the ACE hardware store or does it have to come through the Subaru dealer?
November 13, 201015 yr O-ring are pretty much o-rings, but I'm sure this type of application requires a specific size. There just isn't circumference of the ring to take into consideration, but the thickness of the ring for any specific application. I'd not tempt fate and get the correct one from Subaru.
November 13, 201015 yr Reservoir is usually not the leak on those - it's usually the gasket on the back of the pump. But can't hurt to try it. GD
January 6, 201115 yr Reservoir is usually not the leak on those - it's usually the gasket on the back of the pump. But can't hurt to try it. GD Is it a gasket or a o ring on the back of the pump? Is it available at dealer?
January 6, 201115 yr It's a gasket - I do not know if it's availible at the dealer or not. It's a metal gasket with a rubber seal molded and glued to it - I just clean them up, cover them in Loctite 518, and put them back in. GD
January 7, 201115 yr Author Is it one of these?? I think I saved the subaru label from the KIT they were in.
January 7, 201115 yr Subaru Lists two O-Ring P/Ns here: http://www.subarupartsforyou.com/cp_partlistbymod.php?subcat=Suspension+%26+Steering%2C+Pump+%26+Hoses 34427AA060 34427AC000 Not sure which one you need. There is a rebuild kit for the pump like this: If you go to http://www.opposedforces.com and select your vehicle, it should give you the pump kit P/N. Or you can do as GD suggests (clean the gasket and reassemble it with Locktite 518). Edited January 7, 201115 yr by Mike104
September 28, 201411 yr Does anyone know where I can get the bearing shaft seal (0.3 in the diagram above)? I bought the kit but misplaced this one seal.
