zues marine
wondering if the turbo from an 87 gl 10 would be a good turbo to use in a build on my n/a 2.5L in my 95 legacy
GeneralDisorder
Too small to do much - the CFM of that turbo is pretty low. It will spool very quickly and give a boost to low-end torque, etc but it will likely run out of air-flow at higher RPM. A better choice would be a VF11 from a first-gen Legacy turbo or even a TD04 from a WRX. GD
flight_of_pain
They are a bit small for the 1.8 they came on stock, much less a 2.5.
presslab
They blow a lot of hot air at high boost / high RPM. I upgraded mine to a TD04L and it is much, much better.
Myxalplyx
Would be great for a Justy, I think. Not so great for a 2.5ltr, which is twice a big. However, if you choose to go this route, be sure you have a good intercooler. If you keep your exhaust gas temperatures in check, then your low end would be great but your top end would probably suffer a little.
