05 OB "Zero Front Brakes" Wouldn't They Squeak?

Featured Replies

one pad worn on the corner.

"All the other pads were beautiful with fully defined mid channels nice even wear and plenty, in my layman's opinion, of life left on them"

you asked to save old parts..... All others were good. They took your money for brake job not needed.

I am not surprised. Corners of the pads do not wear alone. So did the shop put a grinding wheel to the corner of the one, just to make it look like you needed brakes.

A Corner just does not wear, it is physics here..

We are depending upon a person who may or may not have a lot of expierience with understanding or a tech (or desk guy) who is explaiing what the issue is. SO (and this does irk me) accusing a shop of doing something fishy is not proper untill proven so.

An hour figuring out how to send a few pictures isn't too bad, is it?

Brakes so simple a cave man could do them?

Juan, the neanderthal

yes that looks like a stuck slider to me.

Well Fred Flintsone used his feet, so we can rule out a caveman :)

Yes they are simple. Best to get yourself a haynes manual. It really is not that hard.

This:

is NOT zero brakes.

one pad is down do about 15% the others are 95% good.
