Anyone have a source for a rack & pinion for an 81 Brat or have a list of compatable models/years?

My book says 81s are unique for some reason:

At least brats and cars use the same one.

the rack changed in '81 because it was shifted to the left more to make room for the ea81 in the GLs...

I only looked up power racks for some reason.

 

Unfortunately,manual racks are unique to 81 brats only.

I have never seen anything older than 1982 with Power Steering.

 

It might be best to remove the rack and have it rebuilt by a rack company. If you are having trouble finding someone to send it to let me know I can try my place.

I'll keep it in mind. I'm still debating if it's worth putting the time, effort and money into with the various issues it has and the degree of cancer damage it has.
