best tires to use???

Featured Replies

hi all,

i was wondering what tires would be best for my gen 1 Brat??? something good in snow, mud, gravel...

i have a set of sport mags hopefully going on my car and i wanted nice tires to go with them...

what is the biggest tire i can fit on my 13" wheels with no lift and with no triming???

thanks

Are you looking for all seasons?? I myself have a set of BFG Control T/A M65's. They have performed pretty darn well this winter in a variety of conditions. (Mud, Snow, Rain).. give em a look. I think i paid about 55 apiece for 13" 's....

Re: tires

I looked up an image of the tire.....mine is considerably more aggressive. I looked for almost a year before getting mine. Still the most "off road" tire I could find in a 13" (short of a $90 a piece rally tire imported from europe) and they were $33 each from tire rack.

Thanks for the heads up, though. Sure wish BFG still made a M/T in a 13".

in reference to the winterfire from firestone he has

front General XP 2000II

rear Pirelli P300

Firestone FT70c is similar to General

they are "regular" tires that do great on gravel, 55+, handles good, and have had NO problems driving through snow, decent in mud

I think these will get you there!

This was my choice.........I didn't want the 2" lugs.

I wish you well in your search.

82 Hatch, well it used to be.....

01 Forester, still is........

subiemech is referring to my tires:

Firestone Winterforce snows. They are a softer snow tire, so wear may be an issue (though mine are lasting pretty well) and are the most aggressive tires I could find without spending silly $$. (as stated, $33 each)

I'm very happy with them so far.
