i got another subaru dl 5sp white fwd , no rust at all good glass ,good interior , tinted glass, rear hitch, owner says bent valves , new battery, the owner spent 500 bucks on timming belts water pump, and was told it has bent valves , the timming is off real bad or the belt slipped off , any case got it real cheap

If you hadn't mentioned that you got it real cheap (which implies there may be a profit mitive involved) you could have qualified for a humanitarian award.

i got something like that too...the DL in the sig. There is no way there is bent valves. The t belts must be off. That was the case on mine.....great score tho.

jim, try your hand at removing the outer t-belt covers, and checking it out

it is a 88 w/ 219,000 mi ,but i think it was towed around alot ,because there is a tow hook up on the front ,and the motor is pretty clean , the owner spent 500 bucks on repairs and the shop told her it had bent valves :D
