1984 Brat Keeps spitting coolant on ground yet cooling system works fine

Featured Replies

the connector on the cooling fan looked corroded so i got some flat connectors at autozone and fixed the connection that way. i have replaced the radiator cap. temp looks normal (i also run the A/C) and yet it keeps running itself out of coolant? and i haven't overheated it yet but it starts climbing and i shut the car off imediatly. any ideas is there supposed to be a coolant resivior that coolant goes to? oh another thing when i bought the cap i had to buy one for a 1980 subaru brat. so any help is appreciated.

I just had a 90 Legacy barf it's guts out due to a stuck thermostat. It got pretty hot and came back up the overflow reservoir. You said the temp seemed normal but that it was getting hot and you were shutting it off?

+1 on the weep hole in the water pump (btw)
