August 22, 201114 yr I have a few parts cars and I just power washed the engines. Is there anything that can be sprayed on them to stop that ugly oxidation that grows on it over time? I think I tried WD40 once on my winter car when i took it off the road in the spring..but it did not seems to do much good that I recall
August 22, 201114 yr I havent tried it but someone should and report back http://www.roadsters.com/gibbs/
August 22, 201114 yr I put a clear coat on all the engines I work on, keeps the oxidation off for a few years.

August 23, 201114 yr I don't know of anything that will keep it from happening, but I like to use Eagle One All Wheel and Tire cleaner to clean engines and it does a good job of taking it off. I get it at Autozone.
