Not like I can just go change jetting. Fuel filter is good. Dirk Posted September 16, 2011 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Wouldn't hurt to check timing. Also vacuum hoses and the like for air leaks. Are all the plugs the same colour? Suba_GL_87 Posted September 26, 2011 Share Posted September 26, 2011 try check fuel injection into carb if there's' bad or worn out? or check your AIR FLOW SENSORS or maybe Piston Ring worn out? dose your muffler black smog problem? how many miles your suba wagon? danzick Posted October 21, 2011 Author Share Posted October 21, 2011 the car has 260xxx on it, but supposedly its got a rebuilt motor in it. it doesn't smoke at all, and at that many miles id assume it would smoke a little if it was an old motor. and it only uses about a quart per oil change. probably leaks just about all of that quart. Because metered air is escaping the system. Air comes in, exhaust goes out. Now since air is getting out somewhere besides the exhaust, that's an air leak... just sayin' Your chevy is prolly tuned to run like that. Different animal.
