xt dash trouble

Featured Replies

i just bought a 87 xt turbo after cranking it to try to get it to start the digi dash didnt light up and more but in the sun light you can see it working. My question is would i need to replace the lights behind the dash? and if i do and one know how to go about this? thanks

Each of the "wings" behind the steering wheel with all the controls have a sliding switch on the bottom. The right switch is for the wiper speed and the left adjusts the instrument panel illumination levels. I'd suspect the problem lies here.

take them apart and check the wiring?

No... Hes saying that the dash has a knob that adjusts the light level on it. (dimmer, brighter). Check there first.
