making photos fit

Featured Replies

I know, put it in another topic, but I just read the thread about snow riding and have some killer pics of my sube in the snow...but I cant get them to show up on a thread! How do I make the smaller to fit,I have a new Kodak digital blah blah ..

pls help!

max resolution is 640X480 and max resolution is 5k, but smaller of both is better, like 4.7-3.5k

in photoshop, image- resize- type in something like 600

file- save for web- adjust quality to desired size, 4.5k, usually quality of 30-70 is decent to make it visible

ask if you don't understand

in windows with usb connection and my easyshare cx4200 camera, I go to my computer- camera- picture card- ?filename?- and select all and drag and drop in a new file on the computer, I HATE THE EASYSHARE AUTOMATIC SOFTWARE:headbang:

This is my cheap way to downsize pictures:

Using "vew" option make your pic smaller on the screen (about however big you want it to be when you post) then push ALT+PrintScreen and then CTRL+V (or go to menu of your pic editor and choose "paste"). After that select your picture area and repaste it. Then save it as a JPG.

This method works for me much better then dealing with pixels and compression levels -- it doesn't screw up resolution as much.
