February 16, 201214 yr I have an ea82 I'm trying to put equus gauges in. The mechanical water temp adapter fit, but there doesn't seem to be an adapter for a mechanical oil pressure gauge. does anyone know of a company or part number or anything that might work - be it a new gauge or just an adapter? I've tried the equus adapters #9851, 9852. no luck. right now I have the goods to drill and tap a brass plug to make an adapter with, but I'd rather just get the right one. thanks in advance for the help

If so, I can't help, however some pumps came with a plug to go there. There are other ports on your oil pump that you can use and if the american threads don't fit there this is what you need. STEWART WARNER OIL PRESSURE SENDER ADAPTER NUT PRESSURE ADAPTER BUSHING FOR JAPANESE MADE CARS CONVERTS 1/8" NPTF TO 1/8-28 B.S.P. February 16, 201214 yr I've used the metric to US adaptors from SunPro to plumb in aftermarket analog pressure gauges. I used the port for the idiot light (small port) on the oil pump.
February 16, 201214 yr Author I've tried the 1/8 adapter and it doesn't seem to fit. the book calls for a 3/8 iso thread, which seems absolutely ridiculous.
February 16, 201214 yr Maybe is Better Idea to try there some screws untill you find the Proper one with the Right measurement on metric and Pitch. Then, with the Right numbers you can buy the Adapter. Kind Regards.
February 16, 201214 yr Author drilled and tapped a plug for an adapter perfect fit underneath now my gauges work!
February 17, 201214 yr My experience with triple gauge combos or just temp and oil, one of the leftover fittings from the temp kit will reduce the oil fitting to one of the plugs on the oil pump. Depending on your sending unit, (small, large) they use one or the other of the 2 holes on the oil pump. Use the small hole with the allen plug. You are threading an npt thread in to a metric thread, but a little teflon tape and threading by hand (about 1.5 turns till she feels tighter). The fitting will tap itself. Just be sure to do it on one operation and avoid backing it out. I am not sure if there is a metric to npt adapter. I suppose you could use a hardline and make an adapter remote for mthe oil pump (like a metric fuel line)
February 17, 201214 yr Author the old oil pressure switch that I replaced had a 3/8 iso x 19 thread. i tried the 3/8 npt and all the other ones that came with the kit (i even tried some from another kit i had laying around). i work at oreilly's, so I had a lot of options available, but i couldn't find anything that would work but a plug. but I drilled and tapped it, and it really seems to be holding up. Now I just have to condense my spfi wires (they're pretty clustered up right now) and I'll be ready for a good long wheeling trip!
