March 17, 201214 yr So I just picked up a set of 14in white flat spoke Jackmans (came with only one month old tires on them too) for my 86 BRAT and I am looking for some center caps. I know there are some original ones out there. But what are you guys using if you can't find any...is there any aftermarket ones available. And Yes I did a search on here first before posting. Thanks Mugs
March 17, 201214 yr You mean 13 jackmans? The original center caps for the FLAT jackmans 78 Brats has bolts which screw into the hub, they will not work on gen 2 BRats,
March 18, 201214 yr They offered Jackmans in 14" as well... Perhaps something like this would work. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-3-4-APPLIANCE-HONEYCOMB-WESTERN-WHEEL-MUSTANG-SALEEN-CENTER-CAPS-70mm-/270912860049?hash=item3f13aa2f91&item=270912860049&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_500wt_977
March 18, 201214 yr don't know about the 14s, but the caps for the 13s were the over the lug type (they had four holes for the lug studs) I could take a pic if you need. What do the centerholes measure on the 14 inch wheels?
March 18, 201214 yr Helpful link thanks to McBrat. http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/wheels/wheels.html The center hole looks to be possible 2" in diameter?
March 18, 201214 yr Author Well maybe I don't have flat Jackmans...I am not very savy with the Jackman line. But I can tell you that the tires on them are 195/70/14 and they look like this so what ever those are, is what I have. Thanks for the link and I will look around some more. I think I have some old center caps from my Superior winter rims, that are larger in diameter because they mount from the back side of the rim. They may fit that way as well on the Jackmans. I was really hoping to get the suby center caps...to keep the "original" look, to the BRAT. But oh well. Edited March 18, 201214 yr by Mugs
March 18, 201214 yr Those are the Jackmans they made VERY VERY few 14 inch for the lift kits, you got GOLD if they are 14 inch.............
March 18, 201214 yr or anybody can put 14" tires on a 13" jackman flat spoke rim, they just won't seal bead or hold air:dead:
March 18, 201214 yr Author Those are the Jackmans they made VERY VERY few 14 inch for the lift kits, you got GOLD if they are 14 inch............. Yep they are 14's which is why I jumped on them as soon as they were offered to me, I wouldn't have picked them up if they were only 13's. I saw the "J" in the spoke, and the tire size and made a deal. Especially because they have BRAND new tires on them. I'll Post some pics later when I go out in the shop to work for a bit.
