March 27, 201214 yr I'm in need for new door seals for my 1st and 2nd gen brat. I hear air coming through and it drives me insane while driving down the highway. Anyone know where I can get new ones passengers and drivers
April 6, 201213 yr The answer is most likely you cannot buy them. You certainly cannot buy new door seals for a Gen 1 Brat, not sure about Gen 2 but I assume it is the same situation. Your best bet is to search for second hand ones in better condition then regularly treat them with glycerine to keep them supple.
April 7, 201213 yr I used to know of a site where you could get random types of weather strip for everything from doors to windows to whatever else you might be able to think of. Try digging around google for places that sell weather strip by the foot and see if you can find a side profile that matches what you have.

This may be a solution but Brat Gen I and Gen 2 door rubbers have corners that a 'molded in' to suit the door opening. Aftermarket weather stripping would not.
April 7, 201213 yr Incorrect young Grasshopper. Two words.... J.C. Whitney. Try their catalog. They have multiple types for damn near everything. I have used them for many vehicles that have discontinued weatherstripping and never come up empty handed. Find the closest match and your golden. You may have to angle cut the corners and glue them together, but they will work. If they are not the channel mounted type, they will have to be glued on. Use 3M weatherstrip adhesive to apply or they won't stay. Also, call a Subie dealer and check. Just because it's DC'd doesn't mean there won't be some in the warehouse in Philly. April 7, 201213 yr Two words.... J.C. Whitney. That's three words. :-p LMC Truck is the one I was thinking of, but JCW has tons of stuff like that as well. And yes, you cut and glue / rtv / rubber cement corners together if you have a sharp angle to turn. It's how they do it at the factory.
