April 11, 201213 yr Ok, I've got this info for an LSD. Is it right and will it fit my Loyale with a 5spd manual 3.90 gears? rear diff from a 04 wrx. 85k miles, pulled from a salvaged running driving car. will fit all 2002-2005 3.90 5 speed wrx's. will not fit the 4.11 automatics. $100 Edited April 11, 201213 yr by The FNG
April 11, 201213 yr No, your rear axles need stubs on the rear diff to fit; the WRX doesn't. Is it a VLSD or true LSD diff? Also, I think you need a 3.900 ratio and the WRX is usually a 4.111. Price is very good if it's a true LSD; you could use the clutch pack in the diff and install it in your current open diff.
April 11, 201213 yr Author I suppose I need more info on it then. I was super stoked on the price. If I am correct, there should be a nameplate on the back of it that would specify more info (just like on my Loyale). If there is no nameplate, then how would I be sure exactly what the ratio is, if it is really an LSD (it doesn't have stubs to rotate, just female holes), and what type of LSD it is? Thanks again.
April 12, 201213 yr almost certainly viscous, and many folks claim they're toast after 65K. at least, that's what I've read.
April 12, 201213 yr Author I think I'll leave this one to someone else. I really don't have time to mess with it. Here is the link: http://portland.craigslist.org/grg/pts/2902723089.html
