I competed in a mud run this weekend with the subie. because it is modified they made me run in the modified small block catagory. my buddy in the videos was the only other guy that wasnt on +35's. but we were against some huge trucks none the less. anyways there is a big hole that my buddy got stuck in the first video. so did about +60% of the other vehicles in my class. I managed to ride the edge and not get stuck. I shouldv launched better. I forgot completely. anyways: Then somebody else's video. The trucks I was against go until 3:45 in the video. Then it switchs to big blocks... I'm at the 2:55 mark.
May 22, 201213 yr Made my day. Completely I can go to bed happy knowing a subaru beat a pleathera of v8 lifted monsters... i have a strange urge to lift my car, add big tires and find a mud hole...
May 22, 201213 yr Author I was thinking maybe next year i'll run stock small block class. but at the same time being in amongst all those big rump roast trucks and them telling me im gunna get stuckmakes it that much more enjoyable. lol.
May 25, 201213 yr That was pretty darn sweet! Yeah you need some king springs, mud tires, and probably more power lol. Or a d/r 5spd swapped in.

May 30, 201213 yr you really should have been in stock class because your tires are about stock size for those trucks anyway.Is there a 4 cylinder or v6 class?

June 1, 201213 yr Author almost got those. but for the extra price and the increased weight I wouldv bogged worse. so it was better to go with smaller tires so I could spin em better.

June 5, 201213 yr Author Yes I am. but like I said the Super Swampers are heavier. meaning more power just to turn the tires taking away from the overall torque.
