Tire Size on Gen 1 brat

Featured Replies

What is the factory tire size that would have came on a Gen 1 Brat with 13 inch rims???? Or what does it say in the manual??

Should also be on stamped metal tag on the drivers door.

Let us know what you find for Tires , please.

Thanks!

Well I dont need them any time to soon but was curious what the manufcter suggested. I believe off memory it was 175/70/13.

My 78 4wd wagon is 155/80 R13

I thought Brats were the same or 165's

If you find an all terrain r13, let me know. I will have to buy tires soon, and really can't find many options in a 13

I went to my local small tire guy shop that gets me good deals on cheap new tires. He found me Doral tires for my brat they are size 185/70/13. Thats the smallest and closest size he found me for my brat. All 4 and installed for $255.. So I got me some new tires!!!!

I have 155's on mine right now, But i like the look of the bigger 185's I was worried they might rub up front when i turn though are you having any problem with that??

awesome :) this is good news, now if only i could get that dumb wiper post off :banghead:

u would have the rubbing problem like me if u where running 195/75/14's on peugeots:grin:they only rub on very sharp turns but it gives me about a 3 inch lift:headbang:i need to adjust the front suspension which will lift it about another inch in the front and take away the rubbing problem:headbang:

I ran 185/80R13 tires on my '78 Brat that was slammed to the ground. Didn't have any rubbing issues though I did burn through the rear set in 2 months.....

RWD Brat FTW!:headbang:
