99 2.2L clutch fit 2000 2.5L engine?

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the 99 Legacy 2.2L clutch and the 2000 Outback 2.5L clutch?

not sure, did you check part numbers to see if they're different?

if there's a difference it would only be the flywheel, i'm fairly certain the flywheel is different but maybe i'm getting confused and only the flexplates differ between the two?

so if you also have or can get the flywheel, it'll definitely swap.

Part numbers for Exedy ones are different, 15010 for the 2.2 and KSB04 for the 2.5. But from past experience this doesn't mean much (such as the friction plate from and Outback, Legacy and EA82 are interchangeable I have found. But have different part numbers.

I would be using the 2.5L flywheel after it has been machined.

No dual mass flywheel setup either, all just solid.

Ok, thanks... Also, would a Outback 2009 2.5L model clutch fit a Outback 2000 2.5L model flywheel?

If you are using the 2.5 flywheel then get the 2.5 clutch.

KSB04 is typically the one I order. Should work fine.

Would there be a problem using the KSB04 with a 2.2 flywheel? I was under the impression that any of the EJ push type clutches were interchangeable. Am I mistaken?
