October 22, 201213 yr I have a 92 Loyale with a 4" lift, ej22 swapped in and also an older dual range tranny. The cv axles just pop and snap like its the end of the world and I have to keep the clutch engaged quite a bit when making a turn fom a dead stop, otherwise they will just blow up. I know there are plenty of lifted loyales out there, probably even with a ej22 swap and ive never heard of this being such a problem. This happens even with a brand new axle- right after installation. The motor, tranny and axles are all installed correctly, so you need not ask me that. If anybody knows of a solution please let me know!! Thanks- Frank
October 22, 201213 yr ... The motor, tranny and axles are all installed correctly, so you need not ask me that. ... But you Dropped the Crossmember, isn't it? ... How much? ... This happens even with a brand new axle - right after installation. ... I bet that you're using Cheap Axles / Remanufactured Axles \ low Quality Grease. I've read here that the Best Axles you can use are Original Subaru ones, then E.M.P.I brand. Could you post more info about the Axles / Grease you're using? You'll find Axle advice ~► Here. Kind Regards. Edited October 23, 201213 yr by Loyale 2.7 Turbo misspelled word
October 22, 201213 yr Inner or outer failure? How much did you drop the motor and trans crossmember when you lifted it? Does it only do it when your turning or even in a straight line? Are you sure your getting the right axles? double check with the parts store and make sure your not getting EA81 or legacy axles.
October 22, 201213 yr Strut lift and body lift or just a 4" strut lift? if you just have the 4" on the struts only, then you have your shafts beyond their limits. A 2"-3" set of body blocks will remove a big degree of angle on your shafts and stop the problem you are having. TOONGA
