Keyless entry remotes

Featured Replies

I am looking for any, even used but working, keyless entry remotes, that someone might have laying around that they may not have a use for anymore. The ones i am looking for are either the older style, like these, for the 99-04 cars, Or the newer style. I have attached pics of what i am looking for.

I have tried Ebay, which i don't really like anyway, but all i seem to find are expensive ones, and the dealer wants over $80 each, and i am looking to get at least 3 of them, so if you have any laying around let me know, as well as how much you are asking for them, with shipping to zip code 14801.

Hi,

This should be over in the Classifieds - Want To Buy - to get you proper exposure.

You can also put a WTB ad up on NASIOC, SubaruForester.org, among others, as these were shared among diffent models.

I will move it over to the WTB section. As for NASIOC, i dont usually post there because, frankly, alot of the people on that site are rude, so i mainly stick to looking for things on here, and posting here.

I agree...but NASIOC is HUGE and does have Feedback ratings.

I know, but it just gets tedious and time consuming to have to wade through 20 rude responses on there, just to find the 1 response that might actually have some valid advice.

I posted once on there last year about an electrical issue i was having with a 96 outback, and of the 7 pages of responses, only 2 responses actually had to do with the issue, the rest were mainly about how i shouldnt own a subaru until i know more about cars.

Dont mind me, im extremely touchy about NASIOC right now, because i made a comment about a post on there yesterday, and the next 9 responses were just people being rude, culminating in someone telling to me to get off the site and never come back.

i agree. I joined on there just so i could see picture attachments to articles I was interested in, but in general there is an attitude that just plain sucks.

on the other hand this place is the best! no attitudes only people who want to be helpful!

The older style is no longer available from Subaru; it's been replaced by the tear-drop shaped one that you've posted. I bought one of the tear-drop versions from Jason in parts at Auburn Subaru (now Mike Scarf Subaru); his internet discount brought the price down to under $50 if I remember correctly. You could see what the cost is for one and then continue your search for more on ebay and/or craigslist. Toll free number is 1-866-five two eight-528-two.

The real trick is programming it to work with your car. I spent hours and couldn't get the timing quite right to make it work. My son tried and got it first time; go figure.

An after thought, besides ebay and craigslist you might search on Amazon.com
