Hello from the midwest

Featured Replies

Hey guys just got my first suby an 81 wagon and wanted to say hello. Don't figure there are probably many members from my neck of the woods since Subarus aren't nearly as popular down here as they are in the NW. Looking forward to taking her out to the Rally America 100 Acre Woods in February to spectate. If you see a guy in a blue wagon with a big red beard it's probably me so give me a shout.

Welcome to the board! Saw your story in the members rides section. Looks like quite the trip and a really nice car for the effort. Midwest is kinda sparse on members. But we're around. Keep the updates coming as the car progresses! :headbang:

Thanks. The trip was quite an interesting journey that's for sure. Looking forward to upkeeping and improving her for quite some time to come.

hi midwester subaru rocker!

there's a few of us lurking around, few more of us up in the MIlwaukee area and guy waterford too.

Welcome aboard ebarb!

A friendly request--add your state (the "MO" abbreviation is fine) after your town in your ID. Saves readers a lot of confusion down the road!

Funny you should say that. I have been looking all over in the user profile options to change my city to a state abbr. I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find it the place I originally added that.

I remember seeing a field for Location, but it eludes me even now.

Me too! So I poked around and think I've got it figured out:

Top-right where it says "Welcome, ebarb" Click on your name and you'll get your Member Profile.

Left side, click on the "About me" tab--you should be able to revise your location.

Good luck!

I gave that a shot. Everyone of those fields has a little edit pencil next to it so updates can be made...except location. Something like that showing editable for other users but not for me seems like something to do with permissions in my profile.

OKAY, TRY AGAIN! Our site guru, shadow, has fixed the problem. Yay! :)

Thanks very much for jumping in to request help. That fixed it. Much appreciated to you and the site admins.

You're certainly welcome. This is a great site and we all want to make sure it works as well as possible. And thank you for "refining" your location!

It seems like every day there are more of us Midwesters turning up. I'm stuck on that peninsula that looks like a giant high five. Welcome! I also read and enjoyed your members ride thread. Keep us updated on your progress.
