This is a working AC kit from a 1977 Subaru GL Wagon. I pulled all wiring, hoses and necessary part to add or repair your AC kit.

Pooparu,

How hard would this be to add to 78 wagon lacking such convenience?

Jordan

That depends on your experience. I'd say for someone with good automotive knowledge it wouldn't be too hard, but if you've just got basic automotive skills then it might be kind of a challenge.

Well, I replaced the transmission and several cosmetic bits in the cabin as well as most of the expendable drivetrain parts, but if it's more of a mechanical, adding mounts, piping coolant and such, then yes I don't have so much experience. I'll have to look into it.

By chance do you have a close up shot of the compressor ID plate? I'm trying to figure out some of the specs IE: how much of the old R12 refrigerant would it have required. I have an "SD" compressor. Not sure if this is the same style but figured I'd give it a shot. Thanks.
