Probably one of the most FAQ's of the Old Gen sub-forum, and it seems to irritate some folks seeing the question over and over... I dont know, just a suggestion.

Do you have a favorite writeup on it?  

Not by memory. I think Miles has a really good one somewhere.

i just did a write up, i can post it tomorrow with links to threads I'm aware of like GD's cam tower discussion and HLA shimming, etc.....it can be a new thread to pin or USRM or delete it, whatever works.

PLease share it that sounds good.  And submit to USRM or suggest it be after a few replies/additions if they are necessary.
