EJ22T swap issues

Featured Replies

I can do a mobile service and come up and get it running if you want.  If you're getting CEL, power from the relay, you are really close.  Don't give up yet.

ALOT cheaper than an aftermarket ECU.  Plus your gonna have to wire up and program the aftermarket ECU anyhow.

welll regrounding did absolutely nothing lol

What it sounds like is happening:

ECU must not be powered properly.

Your next step:

Pull up an ECU pinout for your ECU, and triple check that you have good power and ground to all the wires that need it.

ok so i did it finally got pissed off enough and bought an aftermarket ECU....... will be wiring it up this weekend and pitching the factory computer in the pile of subaru crap for testing lol

  • 2 weeks later...

I almost guarantee you cut out the Diode, and inherently the power wire to the ECU....

I've done this before, and now know to keep that little section. Nobody really tells you about it in Swap Explanations though.

Perhaps "somebody" should to avoid this problem for others?
