Will 14" 4x140 steel wheels fit on an EA81?

Featured Replies

I had advertised these in the parts forum as 13" wheels, but today I discovered they're actually 14" wheels:

I know there are issues with ea81 13" wheels hitting the brake caliper on ea82 models, but would there be any clearance issues using a 14" steel wheel (I think they might have been for an XT coupe) on an ea81 car?

The newer versions are backwards compatible but the older wheels will not work on the newer gens because of the caliper hitting.

Stamp on the left upper side of the rim     "T14x4.0T"

I think thats a donut rim.

4 inches wide is pretty slim.

So uhhhhh, yeah the offset will be weird but should technically "fit" and ea82.  not sure If you'd wanna use those on a regular basis.

Crap, I think you're right.

I ran 14" doughnuts on a couple of my wheeler cars with no issue. I did bend one, but it was an extremely hard hit, and bent the radius rod too. They balanced good, and held up fine.
