Hello.

My name is Gal and I from Israel. I'm 19/5 years old and Subaru is very big part of my life.

In Israel my car name is Subaru Leone DL and the engine is EA71 (1600cc) with 5spd trans. model 1992.

My father is the owner from 1992 (He is the 1st hand) and I take care of the car since 92.

The car that solf in Israel have some different stuff than the one sold in USA and Canada.

This model sold in my country since 1985 and last year sold was 1993.

I attach some photos of my subaru.

If U have some questions i will be glad to answer.

Gal.

Thanks, but it wont be a little bit problem to help me solve problems in my car? (because the models that sold in Israel different from the models that sold in USA and Canada)

Many of the same basic issues are akin to all Subarus. CV axles are the same. Head gasket problems are the same. Timing issues- the same....

Plus, While we didn't use the EA71 as long as some other places(never in the L-series cars) we did have it up through the 80s in the older body style cars.

Nice looking soob.. I like the white L-series wagons:)

There is a big different between the engines that sold in USA and Canada and the engine sold in Israel and he is that the engine that sold in USA and Canada had timing belt while in Israel, those engines had chain belt and we dont need to change every 60,000 Miles/100,000KM the chaing, because it is a chain belt and not timing belt.

Yes, the EA82 has two timing belts. However, Our EA71 and EA81 equipped cars do not. As I said, our L-series cars come with the EA82 (Timing belt ) motor. But we have the pre-85 bodystyle (that was continued until 88-89 in in hatch form) that uses the Ea71 and EA81
