January 16, 201412 yr i just got a 1986 RX Turbo and notice that the rear diff is locked up (like a posi) is it supposed to be locked up? or did some one weld it?
January 16, 201412 yr RX's all came with limited slip differential. would be just like posi when turning should say LSD on diff. but not too sure cuz my RX is locked just like that and it doesnt say its limited slip and is possible that it could have been welded Edited January 16, 201412 yr by BoostedBoxer421
January 16, 201412 yr you would have to describe what you mean by "locked up". are you driving it, what does it do, are you just worknig on it and seeing tires spinning the same direction, etc?
January 16, 201412 yr Author win i put it on a lift i can turn the wheel by hand and the other one goes the same way is that LSD? it's just like my Chevy 4x4 with a locker
January 16, 201412 yr yes, you can't slip it by hand (unless the centre is stuffed) If you don't like this, I'll take it off your hands
January 17, 201412 yr yep, normal. LSD the wheels both turn the same direction. open differentials turn opposite direction. congrats on having an LSD!
