danger Will Robinson, my car won't start

Featured Replies

So i was changing out my intake manifold gaskets on my 84 gl wagon because they literally exploded while i was driving, and while i was changing them my ratchet touched one of the connecting wires to my alternator and there were some sparks, anyway long story short i put everything back together and now my car won't turn over. none of the dash lights come on either. It's acting like i took the battery out of it completely. I checked the voltage on it and it's fully charged. Very confused

check your fuses and fusible links ( or equivalent of what your model has )

The links might be inside a plastic box mounted on the coolant reservoir. The later models were there at least. They should be near the battery anyways.
