Pugs?

These came with a 87 RX, which is still in storage.. Didn't even notice the wheels when I bought the car. Also came with a strange 3" fully welded exhaust and a custom vf7 flanged downpipe w/divorced wastegate+wideband. I wish I could find the owner that did all the mods, to see what all he did to it. It has some really faded rallitek and subiesport stickers and they blacked out all of the grey trim. Carfax shows 10 owners since 1992 lol.

Looks like you have Peugeot wheels. had them on a BRAT.

Not subaru or peugeot, most likely an aftermarket independant manufacture.  Bet there is some shiney metal under the black paint.

I think they are Peugots.  Just not a commonly seen type.

I figured they were pugs, but I had never seen this type before. I'll likely blast and paint them and keep them for whenever I need a 4 lug roller.

I THINK that Brian in Sacramento may have had and RX with blacked out trim.  Formerly known as TheSubaruJunkie, not sure what his login is currently.

Those are not Pugs, they are just some crazy 13" subaru wheels.    I got them off of a 1978 DL Sedan in the Pick-n-Pull here.

I had never seen these rims before, and still to this day have only seen 1 other set in person (on a Gen1 at a WCSS).

I did not do the exhaust mods, and im sure the motor and all the mods I did are long gone.   When I sold that car, it had a Hybrid EA82T with a EA82 SPFI shortblock, and pistons.    I did put the suspension on the car, and the decals.

Just found out that this car was probably owned by Sean Sexton (former owner of Rallitek, now works for Cobb tuning).

Don't know where you heard that, but your mistaken.

Sean did build a RX... but this was not the one.

Oh wow you found this post, nice!

Yea, I figured. The lug nuts are definitely not pug, I found a similar wheel listed in the old wheel archive but nothing else.. anywhere. And yep motor is long gone, I just yesterday got my hands on the motor it had in it.. regular turbo shortblock and gen2 heads (one is uncracked). The exhaust is an oddity for sure and will be promptly replaced with a invidia dp and srs catback.

I have cool plans for the car, I'll keep you posted. The dirtyimpreza guys rallycross out at prairie city, if you want to take a spin in it. Will likely be next year before its in fighting shape tho.

Yep, I talked to Sean and I was able to figure out it wasn't his from the vin history. That lead me to contacting you.. :)
