Forester xt issue

Featured Replies

Hello,

So I changed my oil two days ago and got in my car to drive it and placed it into drive(automatic). However when I pressed the gass it did nothing but ran the rpms up. Anyone know what it would be.

Are you sure you drained the oil and not the transmission fluid? How much il is showing on the dipstick?

Check the fluid levels.

Same thought as others.........what color was the fluid you drained, when changing the oil? If it was red-ish in color, then you mistakenly drained ATF from the tranny.

give us a quick run down on mileage of the car, year and such. But what they all said^

might i suggest though you to remove the banjo bolt turbo oil filter?... I have 2 forester xts both of which i got for cheap because the turbos were blown because the banjo bolt filter clogged up. Itll save you a lot of pain down the road...
