May 13, 200421 yr Author I love the truckee river. There are definatly plans for more meets in the summer. Steve, if you drive we can leave at 8am, let me sleep on the way tho Thawa, your more thanw elcome to come, if you think you can keep up -Brian
May 13, 200421 yr hey brian, if you come across any 75-76 drivers fenders and/or a hood could you possibly get it/them? i'll send you the money, and try to figure out how i'll get the stuff here. oh, and if theres any of those chrome 13's i've been tryin to find, most definitely get those:D . -mike
May 13, 200421 yr Wow this seems to be turning into quite the Gathering, so are we metting at PnP still at 12 or earlier? cause it wont take till noon if you guys leave at 8am
May 13, 200421 yr Author Well, looks like we maybe leaving here at 8am, which puts us in Reno at 10am. Change of plans. Mike: I really cannot commit to grabbing more parts right now. I really cant even afford to take this trip, but i NEED axles for a big camping trip memorial day weekend. I have a complete set of Jackman steels if you want them, they arent chrome tho. I know what wheels your looking for, and if I were to find a set i'd prolly keep them for myself (sorry). As far as hood and fenders go, you should contact Mudrat cause i believe he's got some Gen1 parts he needs to get rid of. -Brian
May 14, 200421 yr " Well, looks like we maybe leaving here at 8am, which puts us in Reno at 10am. Change of plans. Best be careful of Johnny (and Jane) Law, especially on 80... If you fly at civilized speeds, you could be at the Sparks yard at 11. Might be wise to meet at a nearby location, since parking there is going to be rough (discussed earlier). Suggestion: how about the Alamo Casino? The parking lot east of the gas pumps (the side where the trucking company is next door) is visible enough to see a Sube meeting from the street (Greg St.). Just my 2 bucks
May 14, 200421 yr Dang Jeremy, I was looking forward to meeting you. Too bad. I'm thinking thats its going to be pretty hectic there on saturday, I've been watching commercials on PNP's sale, so everyones going to be there I think. Wherever we decide to meet is cool.
May 14, 200421 yr Author That gas station is easy to see, i believe its right off the exit to the Sparks Yard. Are the Reno exit's numbered? If so, does anyone know the exit for the yard? I'll be taking it easy, but with the turbo its no longer a struggle to get through the pass. Should be able to meet at the Casino by 11 no problem. Lets get a roster of people who are planning on attening? So far from Sac it'll be Steve, Hardy and I... that I know of. Any other Sacramento citizen's care to join? -Brian
May 14, 200421 yr I don't know the exit numbers, but you can either exit at Vista or Sparks Blvd. From Vista turn right off the ramp, and the Alamo gas station is on the left at the light, or from Sparks Blvd, turn right off the ramp, go past PnP, and Alamo is past the next light on the right. I am definitely going.
May 14, 200421 yr Ok Well im gonna stop by PnP in sparks tomorrow morning, hopefully before they get too busy and take inventory on what they got as far as Gen1 Cars and Ea81 stuff, since i dont think anyone is really looking for EA82 Parts i wont worry about that stuff for right now. Im not Tottally Sure Jibs but i think Sparks Blvd Comes First then Vista but i maybe wrong ill get the Exit Numbers Tomorrow when im out there.
May 14, 200421 yr Alamo is hard to miss, it can be seen from I-80 as far away as Ascuaga's Nugget:D .
May 14, 200421 yr Hey scrub, keep your eye out for 90-94 Legacys RED sedans or wagons. I need a fender and a door. Geez I just looked at my Hatch and someone snapped the antenna off. Guess I'll need one of those too.. haha
May 14, 200421 yr Ok heres the Run Down..... Gen 1: 1 (Silver Wagon Hardly Touched Dash is Crap as are the Seats everything else looked pretty good. I Even Snagged the Keys.) EA81: 12 (All Had Front Axles) EA82: Lost Count at 19 Legacy's: 9 I Think (Found 1 Good Red Drivers Door But No Real Good Fenders) And One Impreza Sedan Thats as of 2:30 pm Friday
May 15, 200421 yr I've been looking at that wagon for a while. I might need the inside paneling for my Brat. Was wondering - I need a fender for my Brat, would that Gen 1 work, or do I need a Brat fender? Oh, did you find out what exit came first? I thought that vista was first and Sparks was the last exit before heading out. OH well.
May 15, 200421 yr OK you guys, so I guess we're meeting at Alamo (west lot) at 11? Meet there first, then tackle the crowd at PnP. I'll be in a Cosmic Blue EA81 wagon. Ski rack, wagon wheels, brush guard, multicolored hood. I'll probably be wearing a cowboy hat.
May 15, 200421 yr I'll be there at 11. I drive a White Subaru Brat ... thats about it. OH, I look like Grizzly Adams.
May 15, 200421 yr Oh Sparks Blvd Comes First and its Exit # 20 Just make the Right off the freeway and follow to the light and make a left and you will see the alamo on the Left Side of the Road Ill be There at 11 And Ill Be In a Black 91 Honda 4-Door (Ill Probably Be the Only one not driving a Sube :-\ )
May 15, 200421 yr OH, I look like Grizzly Adams. Dude I did see you at your work about 3 months ago. You asked if I needed help. And I was admiring a brat parked across the street. hehe Man I hope I can get that Red door next week. Rio red I think. It's real bright red.
May 15, 200421 yr Oooh, I hope the Impreza is 97 or newer and still has its headlights Any turbo legacies there?
