• Lost my old friend last week (2004 Forester).  My daughter was T-boned at 40 mph and the Forester rolled 1 1/2 times.  She walked away with a bruised jaw.

Thanks Legacy777. No drugs or alcohol involved. Car hit on passenger side. I'm amazed at how well the Forester held together on top. These things are tanks. Both front and rear axles snapped.

seriously though, glad shes ok.

Had a couple of friends flip their WRX at 70 mph while hooning around in an industrial park, hit a curb, tree and barely missed a building. They walked away unscathed, not even bruised.

 

After that I bought my first Subaru, gradually phasing out my Hondas now.

Kias are a good buy New, but be wary of a used one with high mileage.

 

If you're interested, I know of an 04 Forester Xt for sale in very good condition.

Kias are good up until about 130k then they fly apart
