September 20, 201411 yr Gen 3 if its the car in the profile pic. and if so gen 2 and 3 are pretty much the same or close enough.
September 21, 201411 yr I am pretty sure the inside diameter is it is the same as a EA81 is 1 7/8". I had a 2" exhaust fabbed up from the Y-pipe back and it was ever so slightly larger.
September 22, 201411 yr Author I basically have to make this work tonight with minimal screwing around. So I'm just gonna weld stuff to stuff and make it fixed. Just trying to figure out what size exhaust pipe to buy... since nobody knows i'll buy two different sizes and return one or something...
September 22, 201411 yr Not trying to sound like a wiseass but, tape measures or vernier calipers come in handy for this type of dilemma.
September 23, 201411 yr Author The issue was the headgaskets in my outback are going, so I was parking the outback, fixing the exhaust on the GL, and driving that back to school. I wasn't gonna get to the GL until after everything was closed... I bought a bunch of different bits and pieces and still ended up welding stuff together. The GL prevails, it's been more reliable than any EJ car I've ever had.
