October 21, 201411 yr Just got code P0028 after check engine light came on. "Intake valve control solenoid circuit." Is it easy to get to this circuit? Want to check for intermittent or dirty electrical connection and as this check engine indicator sometimes goes away. Can someone point me to this solenoid too? thanks.

October 22, 201411 yr Author Follow-up info: Car is a basic Legacy, 2007, sedan, automatic, 53K miles, runs great.
October 22, 201411 yr On that code, I'd be tempted to clear it and see if/how quickly it returns. I've had 2 instances of 'spurious' codes set on one car - and one instance on another. On one of those cars, a dead cell in the aging battery 'seemed' to be the cause. Might be electrical gremlins - old battery, poor ground connections, loose harness connectors.....
