tranny fluid leak

Featured Replies

I HAVE A 1987 SUBARU GL and i'm finding transmission fluid in the transfer case. What is going on.How to fix it?

  • Author

can the tranny fluid fill transfer case from a bad seal in transfer case or the one in tranny. I need some help!

This may depend on the transmission you have. For a 3AT, if the seal/s between the Trans and differential fail, the atf will end up in the diff.

I know my transfer case (EA81 4spd standard...woo woo! ) always has a light coating of gear oil on it, but  it is such a slow leak that its never been a problem.
